Learning where to windsurf is part of the learning path. Some spots offer safer on-shore winds that make your experience better.

Generally speaking leaners to best when self rescue is easy. Wind is blowing you back onto the beach. A low traffic area - not in front of boat ramp or where boat traffic puts you in danger.
